USD 82 Million Landmark 150MW Renewable Energy Project in Hambantota, Sri Lanka

We are pleased to have acted as legal advisors to Southern Nexus (Private) Limited and Renventure (Private) Limited in connection with their collaboration with DH Ceylon Energy Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore-based DH Energy (SG) Pte Ltd, on a 150MW ground-mounted solar project at the Gonnoruwa Solar Energy Park in Hambantota, Sri Lanka.

This landmark renewable energy project represents a major step forward in Sri Lanka’s sustainable energy sector. It is expected to strengthen the national energy grid, reduce reliance on diesel-powered emergency power generation and coal-based power, and contribute significantly to lowering the country’s carbon footprint.
